Description

Part of the World Ocean collection, this mixed-media sculpture is inspired by the warm and dynamic waters of the Indian Ocean. It is a region shaped by powerful currents and rich biodiversity. Flowing forms echo the rhythm of ocean streams connecting the shores of Africa, Asia, and Australia. The coral and marine-inspired structures emerge throughout the composition like fragments of a living reef carried to the surface by the tide.

Balancing between surreal marine imagery and contemporary sculptural practice, the work reflects the interconnected nature of ocean ecosystems and the fragile beauty they contain. A one-of-a-kind contemporary artwork for collectors of marine sculpture, environmental art, and nature-inspired contemporary design.

Materials

Cellulose clay, air-dry clay, polymer clay, resin, acrylic and oil paints, real shell

Production Method

Every detail in this piece, petal or sepal, is sculpted from scratch from various materials, such as polymer and air-dry clays, and others, and then meticulously hand-painted for a lifelike finish. Each creation encapsulates the inspiring beauty of nature, striking a perfect balance between botanical accuracy and artistic imagination.

Care Instructions

Polymer and air-dry clay items are thin but durable and flexible. Although, there are a few tips for your consideration:
– Use a dry brush or slightly wet napkin to clean an item.
– Avoid long contact with water. If your flower gets wet, let it dry immediately to restore its properties. You can use a hairdryer, but only cold air is suitable. If your product has lost shape, heat it with a hair dryer for a few seconds, give it the required shape, and then fix it with cold air.
– These items become fragile if temperatures below 0°C (32°F). You should be gentler when using them. After being at low temperatures, give your flowers 15-20 minutes in the room to
restore their flexibility.
– It is recommended that jewelry or accessories be stored in separate boxes.
– Do not put your items under pressure. Do not burn, scratch, or eat.
